Some months ago, I was invited by the amazing Rafaela Rica, G100 Global Chair for Digital Media & Ecommerce to speak at WEF Balkans on the "Power of Communication", unfortunately I couldn't participate due to a family emergency. However, the kind invitation had me thinking about the power of communication in bridging the gender divide.

One must first engage to have a better understanding of the problems, before they can even proffer solutions. Part of the role of communication is to tear down the invisible walls and barriers that may get in the way of connecting to the heart of a problem.

Communication helps to bring down our guards and to bridge the gap, so we can dig deep, dive in, inspire a clarity of purpose and foster better understanding and trust amongst groups of people. It helps to eliminate confusion, assumption and misinformation.

Why Communicate?

Effective communication is necessary to inspire communities, their stakeholders, leaders and tribe to engage one another in ways that foster solidarity and support across borders.

Without communication there is no relationship. Communication is integral to forming bonds and building concrete relatonships.

We communicate to satisfy curiousity but also to set social structures that help us exercise our influence, motivate the people around us and learn from them.
Communication provides information that is necessary to either evoke the right emotional response, amplify awareness or trigger transformation.

When we communicate, the information we receive is power that can positively serve to enlighten groups of people to 'Know Better, DO Better and BE Better.'...Read More

Global Chair, Alex Okoroji Receives Honorary Doctorate Degree from Rai University, India

The G100 Global Chair for Media Arts & Communication (G100-MAC), Alex Okoroji was conferred a "Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.)", Honoris Causa by Rai University Ahmedabad, in India at the special convocation that held on Wednesday, 20 July 2022, at 10 am IST at the university campus in Gujarat.

Alex Okoroji received the Honorary Doctorate Degree alongside fellow honorees and distinguished leaders like former Vice President and (First Female President) of Ecuador, H.E. Rosalía Arteaga, former EU Commissioner H.E. Violeta Bulc, Special Adviser to the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Princess Chantal Yelu Mulop, Malaysian Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, YB Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin, Swedish Politician, former member of the EU Parliament and Member, Green Party, Bodil Valero, Chairman of the Executive Board, AON Holdings, Marguerite Soeteman-Reijnen from the Netherlands, Marriott International South Asia Area Vice President, Ranju Alex from India and other leaders who participated at the hybrid event.

Alex Okoroji Inducted as Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants

Congratulations to Alex Okoroji on her inauguration and investiture as a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria (FIMC) and for achieving the World-Class Certified Management Consultants (CMC) designation at the Lagos CMC Certification Workshop and Fellowship Induction Ceremony, held at Airport Hotel, in Ikeja, Lagos on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
The Fellowship of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC) is the highest grade of the Institute’s Membership and is reserved for accomplished professionals of high level and status offering consultancy in their profession.
In addition to the Fellowship, and even more important, the CMC status (Certified Management Consultant) which is granted by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) is the highest qualification any management consultant can aspire to attain. The IMC-Nigeria is recognised and approved by the International Council to assess practitioners and award the CMC qualification to professionals who meet the requirements set down for the CMC Designation.
Alex Okoroji took part fully in the Certification Assessment Workshop and was a member of syndicate 5. She was excited to receive her CMC Certificate which enables her practise globally as a Creative Consultant using the International ISO standards. The CMC certificate is issued yearly and renewable.
