Gratitude.
This last decade I achieved pretty much of the things I set out to achieve with my life and career.
Got on the best TV Shows. Shot some good movies. Got married. Had a baby. Got Divorced. Wrote 5 Books. Started a Radio Show that showcased me and my audience to the world. Won multiple awards and honors. Got Featured on Prestigious National and International Media Platforms. Spoke at Global Conferences. Started a media company.
If I think about it all - I can't complain.😁
Naturally, I've compressed and minimized the list of achievements. But you get my drift.
This decade wasn't bad at all.
Despite some challenges. It's my best period ever. And 2019 was an exceptional year for my agency - The BRAG Media Company.
We designed platforms, published books, partnered with brands, helped more Creatives, Visionaries and Influencers position their brands, businesses and create impact in the global economy.
Of course, there is no success without a tint of failure. No gain without pain. I had some of that too.
That being said, whatever I lost, I gained back in multiples. I worked hard this decade...Eish! I worked tirelessly.
I also made some incredible friendships, partnerships and collaborations which I'm so grateful for. I'm thankful for my team putting up with me and my crazy schedule.
And I am grateful for the many hats I wear, one of which is motherhood. I think motherhood rubbed off beautifully on my art and my work, as I continue to creatively serve others using Media, Technology and Art.
And oh! The amazing people who have entrusted me to be their creative midwife, helping them birth their greatness.
So many of them who have made me proud this year and the entire decade.
Watching their brands and business grow. Watching them impact lives, build collaborations and win honors. Seeing many of them try new things. I thank God for them. And I am grateful to be a witness to the awesomeness that happens when people use the gifts and talent God gave them.
My biggest accomplishment for the decade remains my son Ray, born in 2010. I can't believe that in May 2020, just a few months from now - I'll be the mother of a 10-year-old boy. A boy that brings smiles and joy to my life every day.
The one that makes everything I do worth it. For he is my reason, my motivator, my muse.
I look at Ray and who would know he is being raised by a single-parent? Awarded Best Behaved Boy in school (3 years in a Row). The Neatest Boy in School (3 years in a row)... Brilliant A+ Student.
It is not by my power, but through the grace, strength, wisdom and COURAGE God has given me. It lets me know that women can do anything and everything if we put our minds to it. I work around the clock and I still find the time to be fully involved parent in my child's life.
But most importantly, I am thankful for the wisdom I have gained walking this journey, REINVENTING myself and changing my life for better.
Boy, did I learn lessons. I had to grow up. Had to unlearn certain things and learned new things. I equipped myself with several new skills and enhanced my soft skills. I'm walking away from 2019 with some really powerful lessons and I'm excited about the first year of the next decade of my life.
I have just written a very short ebook - *Reveal* that gives you my best insight to help you uncover the success that already belongs to you.
It comes with an audio version. And it packs everything you need to make 2020 your Year of Greatness.
